Project Manager – Capital Equipment/Engineering
Manchester | £50K–£60K (DOE) + Benefits | 1pm Friday Finish
When did you last deliver a project that really challenged you — where you owned it from initial concept to fully commissioned, humming away at a customer site?
If you’re ready to step up and run complex engineering projects for a business that’s investing heavily in its future (and yours), this could be the move you’ve been waiting for.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own your projects — full cradle-to-grave delivery for high-value equipment projects.
- Build realistic, clear project plans using Gantt charts, ERP tools, and your own common sense.
- Be the glue — coordinating design, electrical, and production teams so everyone pulls together.
- You won’t just review drawings — you’ll still be actively involved in producing and developing designs as needed.
- Be the face of the project — updating customers and suppliers with confidence (and sorting out the tricky stuff when needed).
- Keep projects on track for quality, cost, and delivery.
- Occasional international travel for key meetings, installations, or site support.
What you bring:
- A solid background running projects ideally in a capital equipment or industrial manufacturing setting.
- A knack for planning and problem-solving — you can handle shifting priorities without dropping the ball.
- Comfortable reviewing technical documents and still happy to roll up your sleeves when a design tweak is needed.
- Confident, calm, and credible with everyone from the shop floor to the boardroom.
- Flexibility to travel overseas when the project calls for it.
What’s in it for you:
- £50K–£60K basic salary (DOE).
- Good benefits package.
- Genuine investment in your growth and development.
- Early finish every Friday (start the weekend at 1pm!).
- Join a business with the scale, backing, and ambition to match your own.
