Are you an experienced Control Systems Engineer with a passion for designing machinery control systems and writing software that keeps production moving? Would you like to join a specialist British manufacturer during a period of record-breaking growth?
We're working with a leading manufacturer of bespoke industrial machinery, well-known for designing and building robust, high-performance equipment across a variety of sectors. With decades of engineering excellence behind them, this business has recently hit record sales and is creating this brand-new Control Systems Engineer role to support continued expansion.
The Role:
This is a varied and hands-on position for a Control Systems Engineer who can take ownership of projects from start to finish. You’ll be responsible for:
- Designing and specifying control circuits for complex machinery
- Programming and developing software for PLC and HMI systems
- Supporting commissioning activities both remotely and on-site
- Ensuring systems meet safety and performance standards
What You'll Need:
- Strong experience with machinery control systems
- Familiarity with a range of platforms, such as Siemens, Omron, and Allen Bradley/Rockwell
- Willingness to travel occasionally (approx. 4–5 weeks per year, max 1–2 weeks at a time)
- Confident working independently or as part of a project team
