Controls Engineer (PLC/HMI) - £40K to 50K - 1pm Fridays – Leeds

Leeds, West Yorkshire (commutable from Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield, etc)
£40,000–£50,000 DOE 
25 days holiday + BH
1pm finish Fridays

Following a record year of sales, they’re now expanding their Controls team, offering you the chance to take real ownership of projects.

About the role:

This is a varied, full-lifecycle role - ideal for a Controls Engineer who can take ownership of control systems projects from start to finish. You’ll be responsible for:

• Design & specify electrical control circuits for complex machinery
• Write/develop PLC & HMI software (Siemens / Omron / Rockwell AB)
• Full lifecycle: concepts, safety/compliance, FAT/SAT, documentation
• Commissioning: remote and site (UK & overseas) – short, planned trips
• Collaborate with mechanical/electrical design and projects teams

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience with machinery control systems
• Strong PLC/HMI programming skills (Omron, Siemens, Rockwell/Allen Bradley)
• Ability to manage projects independently and collaborate within a team
• Willingness for occasional travel for commissioning/support (Short Trips – circa 4–5 weeks per year)
