This Blackburn-based manufacturer is on the lookout for a skilled Design Engineer to join their expanding team. Specialising in bespoke capital equipment, they proudly design and build machinery here in the UK, supplying customers across the globe. The Role:

You’ll design custom machinery using SolidWorks, with a strong focus on sheet metal components. You’ll play a key role in taking projects from initial concept through to production, collaborating closely with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth delivery.

Your responsibilities as Design Engineer will include:

1. Design of bespoke machinery using SolidWorks
2. Creating detailed sheet metal and fabrication drawings
3. Working with PDM to manage and maintain design data
4. Collaborating with customers, sales, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth project delivery

You’ll need:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Design Engineer
• Strong 3D modelling and detailing skills using SolidWorks
• A proven track record in sheet metal design
• Familiarity with PDM systems
• A practical, hands-on approach with a keen eye for detail
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
