Role Overview:

• Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
• Location: Manchester (near Junction 13 & 15 of the M60)
• Salary: £45K to £50K pa

• Software: Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault

For the right candidate, my client is open to professionals experienced in SolidWorks who are willing to transition to Autodesk Inventor.

Where You’ll Make an Impact:

Use your expertise in Autodesk Inventor (or similar 3D CAD software) to develop detailed 3D models and assemblies.

• Lead design projects from initial concepts to production-ready technical drawings.
• Develop BOMs, assembly drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
• Work closely with production, electrical, and controls engineers to create integrated solutions.
• Apply calculations, material selection, and design optimisation to enhance machine performance.
• Bring fresh ideas to industrial machinery design, balancing functionality and efficiency.
• Engage directly with clients to tailor solutions to meet their specific needs.
