With a strong reputation for engineering excellence and continuous innovation, the company is now seeking an Engineering Director to drive technical leadership and strategic direction across all engineering functions.

The Role:

As Engineering Director, you will:

• Set and lead the strategic vision for engineering operations, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives and long-term growth plans
• Oversee all engineering activity across design, projects, mechanical, and electrical disciplines
• Drive innovation in product development and champion continuous improvement
• Provide leadership and support to senior engineers, team leaders, and technical staff
• Track and manage departmental KPIs to drive performance and accountability
• Implement best practices to boost productivity, quality, and efficiency
• Be a hands-on, visible leader - offering both strategic direction and day-to-day support

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A strong background in machinery, capital equipment, or automation
• Proven success in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Demonstrable experience of setting and delivering a strategic vision across engineering operations
• Deep understanding of design, project delivery, and manufacturing processes
• A results-driven mindset with excellent planning, resourcing, and team development skills
• The ability to connect daily operations with high-level business strategy
• A collaborative leadership style, with the confidence to influence and inspire others

What’s On Offer:

• Base salary between £75,000 – £85,000 (negotiable - depending on experience)
